Bishop Tonnos student Ally Dryden, 21, showed her true Titan spirit while competing at the Ontario Special Olympics Provincial High School Championships, May 23-25th in Peterborough. Cheered on by her mom Johanna and BT staff L. Battilana and L. Edwards, Ally won a gold medal in the 50m sprint, a silver in shotput, a bronze in standing long jump and placed 4th in the 100m sprint.
In addition to her impressive medal haul, Ally also gained the gift of friendship at the competition. She attended the opening and closing ceremonies, and final dance, with over 1 000 fellow Special Olympians, and returned home with amazing memories and the promise to keep in touch with her new friends. Ally will be attending Mohawk College in the fall, but is leaving Bishop Tonnos as an excellent ambassador for our school and a true Titans champion.
