BT Business makes its mark

Congratulations to the 17 business studies students from Bishop Tonnos CSS who were invited to attend the City of Hamilton’s E.R. Monaco Business Plan Competition this year that took place in June.

Half of the students who submitted business plans from the school were invited to attend. Once business plans are submitted, they are judged by industry professionals, and the top ranked plans are invited to the awards banquet. Students from Bishop Tonnos CSS represented the greatest number of students who attended the event.

Congratulations to the following grade 10 students who received recognition for their business plans at the event: Sehreen Amer, Yara Basiouny, Emily Brunogallo, Daniel Carobelli, Jacob Craft, Ryan Crechiolo, Joshua Ferreira, Andrew Goetz, Miles Lee, Jean-Luc Pasche, Jomel Rodil and Quinten Shannon.

Special congratulations to the team of Matheus Barrado, Lucas Lisle, and Aidan Morris for their business plan on MLA Smokehouse, that won them 5th place in the competition, and each of these grade 10 students received a financial reward.

Special recognition and congratulations to grade 10 student Cecilia Mattina on achieving 3rd place for her business plan on Text Another Day, which is a business plan for a software application company that works with the automotive industry to put more securities in vehicles that will stop texting and driving. Cecilia also received a financial award.

Grade 12 student, Solomon Ranger, was also recognized for his business plan Paradigm Atelier, and qualified for consideration for the City of Hamilton’s Summer Company Program.

All these students, along with the additional 19 other students who submitted business plans from Bishop Tonnos CSS worked very hard on completing their business plans. All students received a participation certificate, and a special recognition certificate from the Mayor of Hamilton. Congratulations to all the students who not only have certificates in their personal portfolios, but the experience and transferable skills to succeed in their future.
