Pink Shirt Day - Feb. 28, 2024
This year, students and staff are asked to wear pink on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, to raise awareness about bullying and to promote the dignity of the human person and inclusivity for all HWCDSB students. This year, the theme of Pink Shirt Day is again “Lift Each Other Up” - a simple but powerful message encouraging everyone to work together and treat others with dignity and respect. As Catholic school communities created in God’s image, our wearing of pink is a symbol of our communal expression of love, hope, and peace. Thank you to our Student Council, Prefects, and Healthy Action Team for organizing some activities for our staff and students during our lunch periods on Wednesday i.e., creating a paper chain of positive messaging, pink ribbon bracelets, and face painting. All of these activities will help us to raise awareness and promote love, kindness, and positive relationships at Bishop Tonnos CSS.
PLEASE NOTE STUDENTS HAVE THE OPTION OF WEARING A PINK TOP, BUT MUST BE IN UNIFORM BOTTOMS.
